
Don’t be. What you see on tv about sororities and fraternities are no where near what they are about in real life. I don’t want to lie and say that nobody hazes because of course you’ve seen it on the news. What I would suggest is just go through rush to kind of test it out. You’ll have a lot of opportunities to talk to the girls in a group and one on one. Don’t be afraid to ask them questions about hazing and anything else you’re kind of “iffy” about. Also going through rush can give you a perspective on what each sorority focuses on and what kind of girls they select. Whether it be based on their looks, the way they dress, their activities, their ethnic background, and many others. Overall I highly suggest just going through rush to kind of test the waters and see if joining a sorority is something for you. Personally if my sorority was going to haze me, I would walk out on them. Simple as that. Just ask a lot of questions, and be yourself, you’ll end up where you are supposed to be (:
